The 10th Annual International Youth Camp will again be held in Yeosu City, South Korea. This camp and festival run over a period of seven days and is the biggest one of its kind in the world,
with over 100,000 participants, including over 420 international youth in attendance from approximately
35 countries and 170 specially selected Korean students also attending.
We will be taking care of 170 people from North and South America, Oceania, Europe, Central and West Asia.
Alongside local organizers, the provincial and the national government, the International Exchange and
Cultural Promotion Institute (ICI) will be organizing what be an enjoyable and educating experience in Korea.
Under the slogan “let’s go together toward our dream” youth from around the world will be able to share their
culture, attending cultural awareness programs, team building sessions, exciting workshops, and of course,
participating in water sports, the youth festival, and tours of the local environment.
Aim
Promote international Youth Exchange, Harmony, and Friendship 21st Century Global Leadership Education Promotion of the 2012 World Expo in Yeosu For Citizens of the World to Tackle Environmental Issues Together Cultural Exchange
Participants need:
Students at a middle school, high school, or University, etc, (born between 1986 and 1996) To be able to effectively understand English To have an interest in cultures of the world To be outgoing and open to meeting new people To have a desire to participate to their fullest in all of our activities
Participation costs
A payment of 1,000,000 Korean Won for those coming from Oceania, South Africa, and The Americas, will be paid upon arrival, a payment of 800,000 Korean Won for those coming from closer areas, such as from Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East
All in-country expenses such as; transportation, accommodation (at both Yeosu and the youth hostel on the first night), and meals are covered.
Attendance
Participants will be required to arrive on July 19th (Monday) so that they can meet each other and be prepared to travel to Yeosu together the following day. We will provide overnight accommodation at a youth hostel nearby the airport as well as dinner and breakfast. Participants will be transported back to Incheon International airport on July 26th (Monday), and should arrive in the afternoon. Those wishing to come earlier or leave directly from Yeosu may do so, but will be required to find accommodation by themselves. Important Information
All youth will be required to fill out and complete our registration form. All youth will be care for by a professional guide, adult volunteers, and members of our staff.
Visa
Most participants traveling to Korea can do so on a tourist visa (which can be stamped upon arrival). If your country requires an invitation letter please check and request this along with your application.
Application
The final date for application is April 30. Please make sure that you fill out all of your application, if you do not have a resume, a letter of introduction will be acceptable. Please attach a copy of your passport and student ID if you have one so that we can confirm your age, and properly insure you. Please do not purchase any flights until after receiving final confirmation from us, this letter will be sent by May 15. It will be in the form of an official confirmation letter.
